The past year has flown by, I remember looking at Pantone for 2012 and checking through my fabric collections for the must have shades of the
season to show to clients, and browsing the shops early for ideas and inspiration, when I could not find what I wanted I experimented with dying pieces, the Orange colour was quite easy to copy and I felt inventive.
I have been thrown a bit by the new shade of emerald , a beautiful colour but I am doubtful I have much just yet in the current fabric books to offer fashion conscious clients , until the new collections are available I will continue by working with the “accent” accessories which will be more readily available to offer in the plain cloths. Colours which are as vibrant as emerald-green work well in soft luxurious fabrics like velvets and silks so they will look good and quite striking on a more neutral backdrop.
